Delete Your Account
Effective September 9, 2026. This page explains both ways to delete a Buildr+ account, and exactly what is removed and what is kept.
1. About this page
This page explains how to delete your account for Buildr+, the construction document management app published by Lab Architect on the App Store, on Google Play, and on the web at app.buildrplus.com.
There are two ways to delete your Buildr+ account: in the app, which is immediate, and by email, for anyone who can no longer sign in. Both are described below, followed by exactly what is deleted and what is kept.
2. Delete your account in the app
Deletion in the app is immediate and cannot be undone. The steps are the same on iPhone, iPad, Android, and the web workspace:
- Open Buildr+ and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings.
- In the Security section, tap Security.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Security screen, to the red Delete Account section, and tap Delete My Account.
- A Delete Account confirmation dialog appears, warning that the action is permanent.
- Type your account password into the Current password field, labelled “Required to authorize permanent deletion”. This is how we confirm the request is really yours.
- Tap the red Delete Account button.
Your account and data are deleted immediately, you are signed out on every device, and the app returns to the sign-in screen. There is no grace period and no way to restore the account afterwards.
3. Delete your account by email
Use this route if you have uninstalled the app, cannot sign in, or the in-app form will not accept your password. In particular:
If you created your account with Google or Apple sign-in, or with a sign-in link, and have never set a password of your own, the in-app form cannot verify you. It will reject the request as an incorrect password, because there is no password stored on the account to check against. Email us instead and we will delete the account for you.
Send an email to [email protected] with:
- The subject line Account deletion request
- The email address on the Buildr+ account you want deleted
- Whether you signed in with a password, with Google, with Apple, or with a sign-in link, if you remember
Send it from the email address on the account if you can. If you cannot, we will reply to the account address to confirm the request before deleting anything — we will not delete an account on the word of an address we cannot tie to it.
We acknowledge deletion requests within 30 days, and normally act on them within a few business days. Do not include your password in the email. We will never ask you for it.
4. What is deleted
Deleting your account removes your user record, and every record in our database that is linked to it is deleted with it, in the same operation:
- Your account record — email address, name, and the Apple and Google sign-in identifiers held against your account
- Your profile — company name, title, phone, address, website, and your stored avatar, company logo, and signature
- Sign-in credentials — your password hash, any Google or Apple sign-in link, and any pending sign-in links
- Sessions — every active session on every device, so you are signed out everywhere
- Projects — your projects, including client, address, contract value, personnel, and the map coordinates stored against them
- Documents — RFIs, change orders, submittals, meeting minutes, transmittals, lien waivers, safety plans, incident logs, safety briefings, drawing revisions, daily logs, and punch list items
- Cost records — payment applications, schedule-of-values items, cost code entries, and crew payroll reports
- Supporting records — project contacts, document links, numbering settings and counters, activity logs, workflow checks, submittal deadline settings and escalation rules, document photos and hashes, PDF theme settings, and notification events
- Photos, logos, signatures, and other uploaded files — both the file records in our database and the files themselves in our storage
- Share links — every file share link you created, so outstanding links stop working
- Subscription records held on your account — your subscription state and the entitlement records mapping you to the stores and to our subscription provider
- Migration archive — any copy of your records retained from our earlier database migration
Files are removed from storage first, before the database records are deleted. If a file cannot be removed, the deletion stops and nothing is deleted, so that we never lose the record of a file we are still holding. If that happens you will see an error, and you should contact us at [email protected].
5. What is kept, and why
Three kinds of record survive account deletion. None of them contains your project data, your photos, or your documents.
Security and billing logs, with your identity removed
These logs are kept for security investigation, fraud prevention, and financial record-keeping. When your account is deleted, the link from each entry back to you is severed — the user reference is emptied, and what remains cannot be traced to your account:
- Security event log — password changes, session revocations, and the record of the deletion itself
- Subscription event log — purchase, renewal, and cancellation events received from the app stores, kept for tax and accounting obligations
A deletion receipt
We keep one permanent record that a deletion happened: the date and time, whether it was requested by you or carried out by us, the number of files removed, the reason text, and a one-way cryptographic hash of the deleted account identifier. The hash is not reversible and cannot be turned back into your account, your email address, or your name. This record is what lets us prove a deletion request was honoured. It is retained indefinitely.
Records held by the app stores and payment providers
We cannot delete records held by the companies that took your payment. Deleting your Buildr+ account has no effect on them, and they keep purchase records under their own policies and their own legal obligations:
- Google Play — merchant of record for Android purchases; keeps your order and subscription history on your Google account
- Apple — merchant of record for iOS and iPadOS purchases; keeps your purchase history on your Apple Account
- RevenueCat — our subscription-management provider on every platform; retains the subscriber and purchase history it holds for the account. Account deletion in Buildr+ does not itself erase that record. To have it removed as well, say so in an email to [email protected] and we will request its deletion for you.
6. Cancel your subscription first
Deleting your Buildr+ account does not cancel a store subscription, and does not stop it renewing. Only the store that billed you can cancel it. Cancel before you delete your account, or you may continue to be charged for a service you can no longer sign in to.
- Android — open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon, tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select Buildr+, and cancel
- iOS and iPadOS — open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, select Buildr+, and cancel
- Web — cancel through the web checkout account you subscribed with
Refunds are handled by the store that took the payment. We are not the merchant of record on either mobile platform and cannot issue a store refund on your behalf.
7. Timing
- In the app — immediate. Your data is deleted as part of the request; there is no queue, no grace period, and no recovery window.
- By email — within 30 days of us confirming the request, and normally within a few business days.
- The retained logs described in section 5 — kept after deletion, with your identity removed, for security and accounting purposes.
- The deletion receipt — retained indefinitely; contains only a non-reversible hash of the account identifier.
Encrypted backups of our database may retain deleted records until those backups age out of rotation. Backup copies are not used to restore deleted accounts.
